New Gastronomic Experiences: Mater Terrae's Spring Menu

The restaurant, ambassador of the region's wine culture, offers a wide selection of wines from Priorat and Montsant, as well as two of its own wines produced in the hotel's cellar.

 

Terra Dominicata, the only 5* hotel in Priorat, presents the new menu for the spring season of Mater Terrae. The restaurant is led by a young and enthusiastic team, with chef Mattia Turchet at the helm, who has extensive experience in prestigious restaurants in various countries.

The restaurant's new menu is based mainly on seasonal local products. Traditional preparations are updated to surprise diners and offer them a unique experience without losing the essence of the gastronomy of Priorat, an area recognized worldwide as a land of wines, although few people know that the Priorat region also has a great gastronomic tradition thanks to its agricultural past. Its recipes include dishes that unite sea and mountain, many of them inspired by the cuisine of yesteryear.

The Alma Mater restaurant has almost three hundred references of wines from the Priorat and Montsant regionsThe restaurant offers its customers access to most of the wines produced in the area. In the Terra Dominicata winery two wines are produced DOQ Priorat, Domus Aquilae y Sui Generis from the grapes grown on the property's 15 hectares of vineyards. The winery offers hotel guests a visit during which they will learn first-hand how the wines are made and end with a tasting to learn about the different types of wines from the region. In addition, the hotel has an independent space with two rooms with a total capacity of 52 people where corporate events can be held.
